We try to keep our greenhouse pest-free so that our customers can enjoy fresh produce year-round. Unfortunately, greenhouse pests thrive when left unchecked. To help control them, we use mantis (Mantis Religiosa) in our greenhouse near Janesville WI. These little creatures eat aphids, squash bugs, spider mites, and other pests.
The use of predators in a greenhouse is called Biological Control. It is an important step in making fresh high quality produce available for you all year round. Greenhouse pests can cause disastrous crop loss, and affect the appearance of your plants, which in turn impacts their sale-ability.
By using natural predators of these pests, we can reduce or totally eliminate the use of pesticides and herbicides!
